Change in weather...

 Weather have changed...
Winter is closing in on us living here
in the north of Sweden...

Some days it's snowing and some days it melts...
But for the last days we have had cold days...
Around -8 C...

Molly loves the change of weather...
And I don't...:0)

No sewing at all here...
Still have those Granny Blocks to sew together...

Have had other things on my mind...
Meetings about my future...
To work or not to work...

So the near future will be a little unsure...
Until all is settled with all instances...

That didn't stop me from a little shopping...
A girl have to have some fun..right?? :0)

Lovely fabrics in happy fabrics...

Bought a layer cake of Lori Holts latest fabrics...

Yummy everyone of them...

And as usual ...no plan at all...
Just happy shopping...:0)

Some solids ...to play with..when time comes...

Rainbow colours...:0)

Well...
with all that shopping I need a cup of tea...

Warm and delicious...

And then out in the cold ...taking walks with Molly...
In a more and more wintry landscape...

This morning...
Thin ice was on almost the whole river...
Not just around land...
Even I think it's pretty..:0)

Remembering...pinks...

Instead of doing what I really should have done...
Like sewing my quilt together...

I am
Remembering some pinks...
from my time in Ă–stersund with Louise...

Well..I did have a go with
"the sewing together...all bits and pieces"!!
Guess what happens...
RIPPING...RIPPING...

YEPP..
Think I'm the only one who doesn't stop and think...
Just sews happily away...
Seam after seam....smiling..yes yes... I'm sewing!!!!:0)

HUH...
Why didn't anyone tell me to look at the blocks
and see how all the seams really should look like...
 With nice meeting seams...
And not looking like a war zone of seams pointing in all directions!!!
Well...
No one of course...
I ought to know myself..:0)))

If head is stupid ..body will suffer!!!

So I'm remembering pinks instead...:0)

So enjoy some quilts in pink made by Louise!!!

A lovely crisp and PINK little cutie!!!!
Don't you love the porcelain too...
(Louise...Yepp...I saw the remote...sorry!!)

Think I have showed this one before...
but I think...
It can be on the web again...:0)

A pattern from Cheri Saffiote Payne ...
( and on my to do list..:0)

Two adorable little dolls...
With quilts...

Another one from

Free pattern on the blog

But seen in Louise's colours...it's like
A whole new quilt...

And so is this one...
Totally different...

I think it was a sew a long from
 Some time ago...
Named something with cheddar...
(great memory here)

And I LOVE this version!!!

Here is a quilt where I, Marica and Louise
swapped some blocks years ago...

Louise did this with her blocks...
So so wonderful!!!

Just beautiful...

Well...
Better stop dreaming my time away...
Thinking PINK...

Can you believe the gorgeousness this pointsettia has...
Couldn't resist it at the shop!!!
PINK..:0))

I know I know.. Back to my blocks...
I will...
Thank goodness they do have some pinks in them...;0)

So so hard ...:0)
She is every where ...

But somehow I managed to sew all my blocks...

Added four to my last eight...

Decided to stop at twelve ....

Are we finished now???
Please...

Huhhhhhhh...please....

The Great Granny Along...

Months and months ago...
I had an urge to sew a Granny Square quilt...
First I saw one made at Blue Elephant Stitches..

And loved it...
And I thought ...someday...:0)

Time flew...
and suddenly another teaser of these quilts came...
And this time a Quilt Along...

The Great Granny Along!!!
And this time I joined...and felt ...
Yepp I can do this... One block now and then...
A great way to sew something I really wanted to make...
and with not that much effort...

Weeks flew by...
and did I sew...Not at all...
I did my last weeks at pain rehab...

And suddenly...
One week when I was home alone...just me and Molly..
guys were on a little trip on their own...
I just went up in my sewing room and started to
cut out some squares for the Great Granny blocks...

Did I have fun...

Or...did I have FUN....:0)

The whole Saturday I just cut and cut...

Molly really thought I was crazy...
she sat behind me... or under the sewing table...
or layed on the floor in front of me...
tried to be under the ironing board...
whined a little...
see me ...see me...

So eventually I had to take a break and go for a walk...
With Molly...

So much better...Molly thought...

Yippieeee!!! :0)

But when returning home...she found out that I was
Just as crazy as before and kept on doing
those strange things upstairs...

And me...
Still had lots of fun!!

Totally absorbed with orange...
Pinks and greys...

And these fun text fabrics...

Totally exhausted ...
I went to bed...but with a happy smile on my face...

Next morning...
Well...all I can say is that this body ...
Payed its price...

but who cares...
I had fun!!!

So all I did Sunday morning
was to try and sew one block together...

And ...now Molly really thought I was crazy...
She had to be with me all the time...almost in my lap
All the time...poking her nose into the machine...
Strange thing that sewing machine...:0)

well... Poor doggy...
You will have to get used to find me
Behind that machine from time to time...
and not be with you all the time...

That was what happened weeks ago...
Still haven't touched the sewing machine since then...

...but...

At least I have sewn!!!

Liberty fabrics...

Happily I'm not angry for so long time...
So my little tantrum regarding
No replies were gone pretty soon...

The worst part was that I had made plans for sewing...
Instead of sitting by the computer !!!!

Guess my time will come...:0)

Had lovely mail yesterday...
A little treat for myself...

A pattern and some Liberty fabrics...
At first I wasn't sure about what I liked about the
Liberty fabrics...but all of a sudden...I found some that
I just love...

No plans for these right now...
just happy collecting...
Some more pinks would be wonderful...

No reply

Totally annoyed today!!!
Even a little angry...
Don't like not having things to work...
Like they should...

Today it's no replies!!!!

When are Blogger/Google+ going to do something
about this!!
HUH????

When going over to new blogger and google+
All this started...
(After a while)
My email was no longer visible and became
set as a no reply account

Thanks to Christine at Aunties quaint quilts
I was alerted to this...

So I googled around because this is a little bit tricky
to find out ...
"what to do about this then"
Nothing on Bloggers help page...
and nothing on Google+ either

BUT
Found a great tutorial here:
Did the said things...

And all worked as a charm again...

Until now again...

So thanks again Christine for alerting me again!!!

So I did the whole thing again...reverted to old blogger,
checked that little box again...show email...
and back to google+ again...

Now it works again...
But don't know for how long...

So has anyone any other solution or know something
that will enlighten me in all this...
So PLEASE share the news!!!!

So friends...lets help each others to know
when things aren't working with our blogs...

If I find out someone is no reply I use to write and say it
if I can't come into contact with someone..
I will use my comments and reply directly
to the person who commented

Otherwise...
Hello world...remember to

Amen!!!

This one...
Don't know how many times I have looked at
Cheri Saffiote Paynes blog
and wanted to make this one...

Think this one was called
Soot and Ashes
... A free pattern on her blog...

And this is Louise's version made in blues...

Gorgeous!!!

See...visiting Louise just made my have-to-do-list
or will-love-make-list refreshed...
Remembering quilts I so love!!
And this one is one of them... Hmmm...
Maybe in pinks..lol...

Log cabin quilt...
Don't know how many Louise have made
(I still haven't done one)
and all are a wonder of lovely scraps and colour!

B e a u t i f u l !

Blue is one of Louise's most used colours in quilts,
and this one is no exception ...
Lovely mix of fabrics...

Sorry about the pictures
they are all a little bit blurry...
maybe I was in a hurry or maybe it was
Louise who couldn't stand still!!
All photos are taken with my Ithings..
since I forgot the camera!!!

She always use a variety of scraps..
and mix cold and warm colours...
Brilliant!!

Now for the most important thing with my trip...
is these words...
And seeing them in Louise's sewing room...
It was such a happy feeling!!!

Have fun!
(Ha roligt in Swedish)

So thank you Louise...

Have learnt lots like...
