My week at home...

I spent organizing...
in the sewing room..
I had things all over..
Sorry no BEFORE photos...lol..
It took all week.. since I had to rest all the time.. but
I got it done..
so I can finally have place for the sewing machine and the cutting mats!!!
I love it..
its a comfy space where I can sit and relax and just enjoy
my things..
Some wishes are...
is to have white ceiling... and more walls!!!
Got my blocks from Norway up on the design wall..
and I have almost finished the top this weekend...
Pictures will come... :o)
Just needed to call Louise for help on deciding on the border!!
Funny ...
debating on to take that one or that one.. isnt funny doing all alone...
and when talking to Louise..
everything comes to place!
Thanks for your input my friend!!! :o)

Ok.. more pictures from my room..
little things to be inspired from...
at least I think so..

Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend..

some maybe relaxed..
and all of that sounds just fine to me...

Have to try to work tomorrow..

so it will be exciting...
up on the bike tomorrow.. in minus degrees...
sigh!!!

Some presents I made...

to wonderful friends ...
One week before I went to Norway I sent this little package to
May Britt for her 50 th birthday!!!
Happy birthday again!!!!
I know she likes cats...
so I just had to make this little cute needle keeper...
with little pockets for threads and other things...
I also sent her one of my Grandmothers thimbles for her collection...

...and I added a cat pincushion to her collection as well...
and a little brooch...
just to feel special..:o)
Have you by the way seen the quilt she got...
Just wonderful...

And in time for my trip to Östersund...
I finished a little birthday ( late one..) gift

for Louise...
It was really fun to make...
hardest was to find a cup that would fit..:o)
So now I am on a bargain hunt for more cups.. so I can make some more!!!
Happy BELATED Birthday
Louise!!!

Otherwise..
Im at home...
walking slowly.. not bending so much...
LUMBAGO...
guess I will be home for some days to recover...
Im packing up slowly from the Norway trip....
...it is way way far down to the bags at the floor!!
But... I have found some pretties.. at least I think so!!
Think I forgot to look at colours..lol..
all very light..;o)

....Leanne Beasley and Gail Pan....

Well I didn't do so much the last day either...
but I webbed all my 12 blocks..decided not to
needleturn mine... but with reflection...
they might have been finished by now...
thinking of the long way home in the car...and lunch hours..

Here are some of the things made from the two days...
Ohh.. we had fun girls...hadn´t we????

Thanks girls for a fantastic weekend!!!!
A fantastic adventure and filled with a lot of VITAMIN Q
we headed home to Sweden..
first stop in Östersund...slept over...
In the morning we took some last photos and
played a little in Louise sewingroom
(we found lots of wonderful little blocks laying around...lol)
setting up a new challenge between us...
Louise, Marica and Me...

...making small blocks and exchange them...
this will be so much fun!!!
After that we took our machines to the Sewing machine Doc...
Maricas machine became "rigid operated"
(screen light in just one option)
but OK...:o)
And mine a little adjusted...
and hopefully a happier machine!!
And then we sat our goal..to HOME!!
After 10 miles.. we needed a break.. Ok I did..
bought ice cream...
YUMMY...
Temptation it was...
But who knew we were heading for snow just 20 miles later
Yikkees!!!! Brrrrrr...

Came to Marica at evening...
Thanks to you Marica for driving all the way
a total of circa 145 swedish miles...
Crazy ..but oh so much fun...
Slept over and took bus home ...
and that was nice too..having been
 a "little" missed..:o)
The not so fun part was all the plumbing I had to do...
dishwasher didn't work..
and guess what.. he saved that for me...:o(
But after two days.. fiddling with it.. it worked!!!
SMILES!!!!
Have I packed up yet then...
NO..
Had hope for yesterday.. and yesterday for today..and this morning I hardly got out of bed... Lumbago!!! :o(
So today everything goes VERY slowly!!!
But I will pack up!!!
Need to see what I bought!!! :o)

I continued with the one I started on Saturday
Gails
"Lailas Garden"

surprise...
I did mine in pink...brown and green...;o)

Pictures from what Leanne had with her to show us...

I so love her work...
and the colours she works with...

Gail had projects from her new book
with her...
"Baskets in Bloom"

Yes.. I bought it..and I love it... :o)
(The Santas isn't in the book)
Some of us worked more than others ( me..;o)

Louise worked on Laila´s Garden..and used lovely colours...
with Kaffe Fasset fabrics...
Laila started with Leannes stitchery..
Anne Heidi... worked with Mary Engelbreit fabrics...
it will be gorgeous....
Lailas version will be a soft blue one with  Japanese fabrics...
You just have to love the diversity in colours...
every one will be fantastic...
And Karin she stitched and appliqued!!!

And talking about fantastic...
The shop is absolutely  IT!!!
Do you think I found something to shop???

Everything was so nice displayed...
and the models were so so pretty!!!

Ok... think you have watched enough for tonight...
Will be back tomorrow with more pictures...
So see you later...:o)

Jumping back in time...

Ok...
pretend its Friday evening...and we just arrived to Trondheim...
Packed out our things at Quiltegården...
and then I hear..
-Stina....!!!
And guess who...
Gail and Leanne recognized me..
that was a sweet moment...
getting hugs from my favorite designers...
I love you!!!! :o)
Back to the hotel... checking in....
and off to Leanne Beasley´s and Gail Pan´s lecture
and Show and Tell !!!
Well.. all I can say these two ladies..
are the most fun and inspiring people I have met!!!
So happy to have met them and having a class with them...
So many quilts were shown and Leannes and Gails quilts
were displayed all over the shop ( will show more of them later)
So just enjoy!!!

Ohhh... Sølvis hexagons were beautiful...
and TINY!!!!

I loved the Japanese fabric Log Cabin quilt...
and the green version of a Leanne B quilt....
Anne Heidi had used photographs in her lovely quilt...
and Louise showed her scrappy homespun quilt!!!

Gail and Leanne showed and laughed and
made us feel very special...
and more wonderful quilts were shown...
A Kittens Tale, Butterfly Garden to mention...
A lot of inspiration...

Saturday evening I just had to go and see little
 of the town of Trondheim....
Just the thought of knowing many of my ancestors from the Viking era
had walked around there..tickled my mind...:o)
Loved the street signs... with all the viking names...

A statue of Olaf Tryggvason stood at the Centrum square
and Olaf the Saint was buried where the Nidaros Cathedral  were built...
maybe that was why I felt so at home with the Norweigans and Trondheim..lol...

Ok are you still with me...
more pictures will come...:o)
